Water travels through 5 stages of filtration:
· First stage, a 20" sediment filter cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also extends the life of water filters, and prevents damage to control valves or pumps.
· Second, Third and Fourth stages, an ERA-6500, ERA-9500 and GAC mineral tank which removes hundreds of contaminations*.
· Fifth stage, a 20" solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's), insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents)

Riser style 1" internal flow distributor.
9 GPM (gallon-per-minute) recommended flow rate.
· 3/4" or 1" Stainless Steel Bypass Valve.

This is a self-backwashing Solid state microprocessor with LED display Electronics control valve system that automatically removes the trapped contaminants within the filter bed and washes them down the drain.
